I wanted to become a pediatric nurse practitioner because of a desire to provide preventative care to our community. I want to help educate families on healthy lifestyles in order to prevent disease and increase quality of life from an early age. I also want to empower families to provide excellent care for their children. If they have concerns, I want them to feel like their concerns are valid and that they have a teammate in their primary care physician who will work with them. My clinical interests include wellness and allergic disorders. When I am not at work, I enjoy hiking, great restaurants, reading and exploring the Triangle with my husband and two children.
