    <p>We'll sing "We’re Going on a Bear Hunt" in call-and-response form. When encountering an obstacle, we'll act out how to get through it. The use of onomatopoeia in the story invites children to develop their language skills.</p>

    <p>The Teacher will whisper the words that rhyme in the poem “Hey Diddle Diddle.” “Why do you think I whispered these words?” We'll practice noticing rhyming words by whispering, clapping, or jumping when the rhyming words are said as the poem is read aloud.</p>

    <p>Bring your Favorite Apple, it will be graphed. We will have a variety of apples to taste in a variety of colors; red, yellow, green, and even pink. We had the same colors of cutout paper apples to put on our graph to indicate our favorite. We'll play apple file folder games.</p>

  • <p>Johnny Appleseed's Birthday will be celebrated by reading his story. We'll also have pans to wear as hats in dress up as we pretended to be Johnny, planting, taking care of, and harvesting our apples. We'll experiment to learn if an apple or an apple seed floats.</p>

    <p>Bring a Fire Truck. Fire Fighters will be studied to learn that they are first responders who are there to help us in an emergency. We'll learn the name of all of their fire equipment. We'll learn that the fire fighters are there to help us, our kind, and can be trusted.</p>

    <p>We’ll use measuring tools like cup measures &amp; real-life world measurement examples like a ½ gallon mild jug in a tub with water. We also have solid objects of different sizes such as cotton balls, pebbles, etc. to scoop. We’ll&nbsp;determine; Which container holds the most?</p>
