About John Steven Bruch, MD
John Bruch, MD, is a graduate of University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville. He then completed an internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Following three years as an internist in the U.S. Navy, he pursued an endocrinology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina.
Most of his career has been in practice and teaching at Prisma Health. He is the medical director of the Upstate’s Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support Program at Prisma Health and plays a leading role in managing diabetes in the hospital.
He enjoys taking care of patients with diabetes and who have thyroid and general endocrine disorders.
