Maja Simic, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician committed to providing patient-centered primary care and internal medicine services. She is a specialist who works with patient’s to prevent, diagnose and treat conditions and diseases affecting adults, from common conditions to chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, endocrinology, gastroenterology and other conditions affecting a patient’s health and well-being.
Dr. Simic’s dedication to help her patients make healthy choices is at the forefront of her efforts. She provides personalized care to drive better health outcomes for those she serves.
Dr. Simic has participated in several international medical conferences as a guest lecturer and poster presenter and has published in several peer-reviewed publications. She has specialized experience in caring for and researching endocrine conditions such as obesity, polycystic ovary syndrome, thyroid conditions and diabetes.
A graduate of University of Belgrade School of Medicine, Dr. Simic completed her residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Bronx VA Medical Center and held the position of Hospitalist at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT before joining Stamford Health. She has served on several committees including the Infection Prevention Committee at North Central Bronx Hospital.
Originally from Serbia, Dr. Simic speaks multiple languages including English, Serbian, Russian, Bulgarian, and Croatian.
