The Only Dutch Pancake House In Southern Ontario! New to the London restaurant scene, Leiden Dutch Pancake House is serving up traditional dutch “Pannenkoek”. In the Netherlands, they are as popular as pizza or hamburgers are in North America. These plate sized Pancakes are served either “sweet” or “savory” using toppings such as fruits, nuts, meat, seafood, vegetables etc. And baked into the batter which is between a crepe and a regular pancake in thickness. Icing sugar, ice cream and syrup, top the sweet pancakes while sour cream and condensed beef sauce are favorites for the savory. Will Londoners be adventurous and give Leiden Pancakes a try. Only time will tell.
