Sky Women’s Health is a full-service gynecology practice that takes a holistic approach to care for women in and around Fort Worth, Texas. Led by Carolyn Moyers, DO, FACOG, NCMP, she gained inspiration from the book “Half the Sky,” which is based on a Chinese proverb: “Women Hold Up Half the Sky.”
The book reveals stories about women who have suffered from unimaginable sexual perpetration. Dr. Moyers decided to become part of the solution, giving women a voice, the care, and the attention they deserve.
That vision led to Sky Women’s Health, where patients experience different health care. The unhurried environment allows each individual to have quality time with Dr. Moyers without feeling rushed.
Women can count on a wide range of services, such as thorough care and treatment before and throughout pregnancy. Dr. Moyers provides osteopathic manipulative therapy (OMT) for her patients, a treatment offered by less than 1% of all providers in the United States.
Sky Women’s Health also focuses on the so-called fourth trimester of pregnancy, the postpartum period, when a woman’s body experiences great physical and emotional changes.
The practice colabotates with pelvic floor physical therapy and offers Botox® to relieve pelvic floor pain. Dr. Moyers has a conservative approach to surgical needs, using the da Vinci® robotic surgical system and minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery options as needed.
